Ever since high school Matty has been religiously by Elli's side, refusing to leave him. Matty is the guardian angel who swooped in after Elli had his heart broken by Koty and has been playing repairman since. He had no idea what he was getting into when he exchanged numbers with Elli, nor how hopelessly in love he'd fall with him. Matty has devoted his life to caring for the emotionally unstable addict, though his being a hopeless addict has helped.

He never lets Elli see how badly it hurts him when the only boy he's ever loved runs off at the club and sleeps with someone else. He pretends he doesn't care, pretends it doesn't bother him, but really it eats away at him. Matty doesn't understand why Elli refuses to admit he loves him... but he doesn't press it. He merely smiles and enjoys the times when Elli falls asleep in his arms, and misses him every other night. One of these days he knows his boyfriend will admit he loves him, and until then he throws himself into writing and fashion design. And drugs, always drugs.



Brooke is Elli's cousin, though honestly the two have been mistaken for twins more times then they can remember. Perhaps this is because of the fact they were born on the same day at the same time, down to the second. Brooke is like a (real) female version of Elli though she's not quite a drug 'addict' per say. Brooke is a loud, dramatic girl with a spoiled, bitchy personality. She's snide and smart, and a major flirt. Brooke is a perfectionist though and often cleans up Elli's messes. So when the girl was informed her cousin had been exiled to Chicago she took the next flight out and has come to live with he and Matty.
